Partner reading — Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to the details you enter to receive a free birth-sky reading at a partner venue (the “Partner”). It covers this offer only; the main 12andUs privacy policy covers using the site itself.

1. Who is responsible

Apogeeks Pte. Ltd., 16 Raffles Quay #33-03 Hong Leong Building, Singapore 048581 (registration number 201500663W), which operates 12andUs, is the controller of the data you submit here. Where you consent to be contacted by the Partner, the Partner is a separate and independent controller of the copy of your contact details it receives, and its own privacy practices govern what it does afterwards.

2. What we collect

your name and email address;
your date of birth, your time of birth (optional), and your city of birth together with the coordinates and time zone resolved for it;
the language you viewed the page in and which partner card you scanned;
your IP address and the time of the request, for rate limiting and abuse prevention;
whether you ticked the consent box.

We do not ask for payment details or any sensitive information, and you should not send any. Your birth date, time and place are used only as inputs to an astrological calculation.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis

To generate and email your reading — because you asked us to.
To send you occasional messages, and to pass your name and email address to the Partner — on your consent, given by ticking the second box on the form, which is optional, which you can withdraw at any time.
To rate-limit, prevent abuse and keep the offer working — our legitimate interest in protecting the service.
To keep a record that consent was given — so we can demonstrate it if asked.

4. Who else sees it

Our AI provider receives the astrological placements calculated from your birth details in order to draft the text. It does not receive your name or your email address, and does not use the data to train its models.
Our email delivery provider receives your name and email address in order to deliver the message.
Our hosting provider stores the record.
The Partner receives your name and email address — only if you consented.

We never sell your data.

5. Where it goes

Our providers operate in the European Union, the United States and Singapore. Transfers outside your country are covered by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

6. How long we keep it

We keep the record for as long as the partnership campaign runs and for up to 24 months after your last interaction, then delete it. If you withdraw consent we stop using it for marketing straight away and keep only what is needed to honour your opt-out. You can ask us to erase it entirely at any time.

7. Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of or objection to its use, and a portable copy; and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before you withdrew it. To exercise any of these, email support@12andus.com. If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Stopping the messages

You can stop our communications at any time. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link that works with one click, and you can also write to support@12andus.com. We action opt-outs immediately. Messages sent to you by the Partner itself have to be stopped with the Partner.

9. Automated processing

The text of the reading is generated automatically, but no decision producing legal or similarly significant effects for you is made about you.

10. Cookies

This page uses only what it needs to work: a session cookie that protects the form, and a cookie remembering the language you chose. The wider cookie and analytics practices of the 12andUs website are described in its own privacy policy.
